The brief

Eighteen sloping erven had to be cut and filled to buildable platforms without exporting material off site, and without holding up the first four house contracts.

How it was built

  1. 01Cut-to-fill balance modelled so no material left the site.
  2. 02Platforms released in batches of four so house builders could start behind us.
  3. 03Compaction tested per layer and recorded against each erf number.
  4. 04Temporary stormwater cut in before the first rain to protect the open faces.

Outcome

All eighteen platforms released inside nine weeks with layer-works records issued per erf. No material imported or exported.
