The brief

The site had variable fill to a depth of roughly four metres and could not carry a conventional strip foundation. The client needed a platform that would take heavy vehicle loading without long-term settlement.

How it was built

  1. 01Geotechnical review and piling layout agreed before any plant moved onto site.
  2. 02Rig mobilised with a fixed daily production target and a survey check on every pile position.
  3. 03Pile caps and ground beams cast in sequence so the surface bed could follow without a stand-down.
  4. 04Surface bed poured in bays with jointing set out to the client’s vehicle circulation plan.

Outcome

Platform handed over inside the fourteen-week programme with a full set of pile records, survey positions and concrete test results.
