08 — The Studio

The Mirror House

A contemporary Johannesburg beauty house where hair, braids, barbering, treatments and nails share one standard — and one very well-lit floor.

Philosophy

A salon should feel like a studio, not a queue.

Chairs are spaced. Appointments are staggered. Nobody is asked to wait in a gown while a stylist finishes someone else's set. The room is calm because the diary is honest.

We built the house around five rooms so that a braid install never rushes a fade, and a scalp treatment never gets squeezed between two blow-outs.

House standards

Five things that never move, whichever room you are in.

01

Consultation before the first tool

Every appointment opens with a mirror consultation. Texture, scalp condition, previous chemical history and the outcome you want are agreed before anything starts.

02

Tools sanitised between every chair

Shears, clippers, guards, brushes and nail implements are cleaned and sanitised between clients. Single-use items are never reused. Demonstration policy.

03

Tension is a standard, not a style

Braid and protective work is installed at a tension our braiders will defend. If a parting hurts, we take it out and reset it.

04

Time quoted honestly

Braid installs are long. We quote the real duration up front so the rest of your day is planned around it, not surprised by it.

05

Aftercare leaves with you

Every service ends with a written home routine — wash cadence, product order and the point at which you should come back.

How appointments work

  1. 01

    Request a chair

Choose a room, a service and a time in the booking demo.

  2. 02

    We confirm the chair

A specialist and duration are matched to the request.

  3. 03

    Deposit note

A sample deposit policy would apply to long installs. No payment is taken in this demo.

  4. 04

    Arrive ten minutes early

Consultation happens at the mirror before the chair goes back.

  5. 05

    Leave with a routine

Written aftercare and a suggested return window.
